Preposition

Hi everyone!

I'd like to write a sentence, but I have no idea what preposition should be used in that case. Here are all variant of the sentence:

I spent two years * for* studying smth.
I spent two years * on* studying smth.
I spent two years studying smth.

Which one is correct?
