'Are you studying in German or in English? ' or " are you studying in German or English?' ?
which one is correct ? and could you explain why?

Are you studying in German? Are your lessons (in whatever subject you are studying, eg physics eg history) conducted in German?

Are you studying German? Is this your subject?
