Can I say,

(a) He was baking (cookies) with a microwave.

(b) He was baking using /by using a microwave.

(c) The aeroplane is taking off (in / into / in the sky).

(d) He was washing with shampoo / with a bottle of shampoo.

(e) They are running and passing batons in / at a relay race.

Hello Vincent a/b - In my opinion you cannot use a microwave for baking - Baking is done in an oven. You would need to use "cooking". I am sure other people will have different opinions.

c) The aeroplane is taking off. you can add "into the sky" if you like but it is not necessary.

I agree with Louise. You can only bake in an oven.
Just say baking, and omit the reference to an oven.

It would be like saying she phoned him using a telephone or she typed him a letter on the keyboard.

She is baking a cake.
She is baking.
