prepoition after verity

I want to know the preposition that i should use after the word "verity" is it "verity of" or "verity about".Can anyone tell me the actual usage of this word. moreover what is the difference between "discourage" and "underestimate". ---

He discourages him all the time.

He underestimates him all the time.

which one is correct. my opinion is, both of them are correct.

I would use "truth" instead of "verity" in most cases, and "verities" sounds better in some contexts, but the following seem acceptable to me.

I want to express the verities of this world.
I want to express the truth about this world.
