Could you please tell me if these are natural?

We prepared okra/courgette today for lunch.

We cooked okra/courgette today for lunch.

We made okra/courgette today for lunch.

The first and third sentences are okay. In US English, the second one "cooked" is not what you'd hear. "Cook" is a technical term with respect to food, for example:


Cook the okra for 10 minutes and then add the rest of the ingredients.
