Prepare her for when

Could someone please help me word these sentences naturally? Are the correct words used? Are they phrased naturally?

Her mother is preparing her for when she is/gets crowned queen. She doesn’t know how to behave and doesn’t know how to act like a queen.

Her mother is preparing her, teaching her to be a princess, act accordingly and behave as would a princess before she is betroth.

Thanks
