(prefix) sell

I’ve been racking my brains trying to remember a word. Suppose that someone has a plot of land and he is put in such a situation (for example, he can’t use his land because other people always disturb him and that’s why it has become difficult to keep the land) that he is almost left with no other alternatives than to sell it. So now, this man (–)-sells the plot. (As far as I can remember there is a prefix before the word sell). Would you please help me with it? Thanks.

Hi,
According to your story, this man is helpless. He sells his plot of land helplessly. You're talking about

an adverb apparently, because the word sells in your sentence is a verb.

If it is indeed an adverb, there's no need

It's like 'undersell', 'forced-sell'.
