Prefix

1-Is there any rule of which prefix do we have to use ?

2-why do we say Il-legal(illegal),is it because we have L in the beginning of the word ?

3-Prefix that can be used with "employed",is un which means "not",why don't we write "dis" which means the same ?

4-why in some words like " like",we can have two prefixes "dis as in dislike" and " un as in unlike" ?

You will have to memorize those prefixes. Some words can have more than one prefix (improper/unproper) but most have only one. Btw, dislike and unlike are different in meaning.

You will have to memorize those prefixes. Some words can have more than one prefix (improper/unproper) but most have only one.

Btw, dislike and unlike are different in meaning.
