Preferred rather , don't know which?

Could you please help me correct these sentences please?

1 He must have scared her very badly her to prefer committing suicide than getting in the car with him.

2 I can't believe he preferred/rather committing suicide to that.

3 I'd prefer her to feed me.
I'd prefer she fed me.
I'd prefer it she fed.

I'd rather she fed me.

4 I wouldn't have taken/peg you as a lier.

Are these not possible to say this?

He must have scared her very badly for her to prefer/have preferred walking home to getting in the car with him. (I want to know if the structure is ok natural with something other than committing suicide since you said to avoid it)
