The line graph illustrates the amount of CO2 producing in three different countries namely UK, Sweden, Italy and Portugal from 1967 to 2007.
It is clear to see that the emissions in UK and Sweden were gradually declined over a 40 year-period, while the CO2 emission increased slowly in Italy and Portugal.
While the emissions in Sweden increased dramatically from 1967 to 1977, the figures for carbon dioxide fell steadily throughout the remainder of the period. There was a gradual fall in releasing CO2 in UK for 40 years, it fell from nearly 11 tonnes to 9 tonnes.
In term of releasing CO2 in Italy, Portugal, it fluctuated. In the first decade, the number of emissions rose from above 4 tonnes to above 6 tonnes in Italy, more than half as likely to Portugal. In the last decade, there was a slight decrease in CO2 in Italy, compared to a gradual rise in Portugal.
