Is it OK to say?

What about reward stickers?

Or should I say "I'll give stickers for a praise/reward?"

B: You should praise them often when they participate in class.

You wouldn't say, "You should repair your car often when it breaks down", would you?

Instead of 'praise them' you can have:

reward them

reward them with praise

encourage them

encourage them with praise

make them feel good

make them feel good by praising them

say something encouraging to them

acknowledge their contributions in a positive way
