Hi Kuljc03 Personally I feel "have practice" might be better than "have a practice" (my dictionary also says so). But actually "have a practice" is also used. Google gives 1870 hits for "have practice today" and 250 hits for "have a practice today".

  • When the "practice" is modified by an adjective like "hard" or "private", it would be better to put an indefinite article like "have a hard practice" or "have a private practice".
  • However, somehow they say "have choir practice" or "have tennis practice" rather than "have a choir practice" or "have a tennis practice".
