Practice

Hi, The dictionary shows me "forbids the practice" as one word- I think it mistake. In any case I didn't manage to understand what is practice here

"The largest body of the Mormons, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, renounced polygamy
in 1890 and officially Mormonism forbids the practice"

No, that would be a different meaning of 'practice', but the two words do not fit the same way into sentence structures anyway.

And 'exercise your homework' is not a correct English phrase: it is 'do your homework.'.
