Can I take this bottle of water? It looks like somebody drank from it.

No, I only used it to pour myself some water."

No, I only poured from it.

Do both of these sound natural? I have some doubts about the second one.

Using the polite form (may) instead of (can) – and (as though) instead of (like): May I take this bottle of water? It looks as though somebody drank from it. No, I only used it to pour myself some water.

Using the polite form (may) instead of (can) – and (as though) instead of (like):

May I take this bottle of water? It looks as though somebody drank from it.

No, I only used it to pour myself some water.

No, I only poured from it.

No, I only used it to pour some water for myself.

These answers are acceptable; however, the first is preferable to me.
