Pot

Can you help me with the meaning of this word in the following context:

A search of the lab where Gordon worked did not add any additional clues to the pot.

(It is true that the detective had already found drug, white powder in Gordon's room, and later he went to search his lab. Does pot here mean drug, or does this sentence mean that he didn't find any leads that would help him solve the case? I thought that pot is cannabis, or can it also mean drug in general?)

Here, "pot" has nothing to do with "cannabis" (sometimes synonyms); it just means "ths common pot", or amount of information/clues they have gathered so far

Intuitively for reading a lot of thrillers! (gee, I'm proud!)

PS: "pot" sometimes means some sort of pan, doesn't have to be always drugs, Antonia!!! LOL

At the moment I'm translating a book, actually two books, for two publishers. I do that occasionally. I used to be a teacher, I worked in a highschool for a year and a half, and than I quit two months ago, because I had to finish my postgraduate studies. (Don't be misled I'm 26)

Exaclty twice your age (well I'll be next July), used to be a teacher too, in Belgium; Now I live in the South of France. I do designing/drawing work at my boyfriend's pottery, give private tutorial, and do some translating work as well. One daughter (21), one son (9, lol!)

And I could,t believe you have a 21-year old daughter and a 9-yearold son, and yet, you have a very dynamic spirit. I always thought I'll be no longer active, no entertaitment,... if I had a kid. That's why I couldn't convince myself, though the clock is ticking, and I've been married for 6 years and a half, to even think about it! Despite the fact that my husband adores kids!
