Poste Restante

'Poste Restante' - this is the only term I had found to indicate correspondence addressed to a certain person and a certain post-office, which lies at the post-office until the person comes to pick it.

I think this term is French, and my guess is that it is used internationally. Am I right? Is there an English equivalent?
