"postal receipt" or "certificate of posting"

is there any difference between postal receipt* and *certificate of posting in terms of meaning, style or language variety?

Sorry for the wording then.

From what Google seems to have found, postal receipt appears to pop up predominantly on servers based in the U.S.A. whereas certificate of posting can be seen mostly on British-based web pages (that answers you question - no, I don't).

So, is this just an illusion or misinterpretation of what I've seen?

WHAT seems a reasonable conclusion?

a) What I've found is an illusion I shouldn't rely on.
b) postal receipt is more common in the U.S., while certificate of posting in Britain?
