Possibly

Is it possible to learn a new language in a month? Possibly.

--- There is "possible" and "possibly" close to each other. If I use "probably" or "perhaps" or "maybe it is" in the place of "possibly", will it mean the same?

Hi Newguest, To my knowledge, possibly suggests less likelihood than probably. Perhaps is closer in meaning to possibly . Possibly = not certain (but there is a possibility/chance (anywhere between 0-100%) Probably = there is fairly high chance (80%-90%) Best wishes, DJB
