Possibility

The following excerpt is from a British newspaper:

Chelsea Football Club's Antonio Conte: 'I think Tottenham now is the best team. They are in great form. They have a lot of enthusiasm because they are feeling the POSSIBILITY to write history'

My question is this:

Do you find the use of "possibility" correct above? If not, how should the sentence read? What about ".....the chance to write history"?

Do you find the use of "possibility" correct above? Not quite.

I'd write the possibility of writing history.

'If not, how should the sentence read? What about ".....the chance to write history"? This sounds OK.


We more commonly say make history.
