Possibility?

Hello!
I don't have a possibility to buy a big house.

Should "a" be used?

Hi

I wouldn't put 'a' there, I would put 'the'. Also, I would have the preposition 'of' with the participle ...

- I don't have the possibility of buying a big house

And then I'd probably move the negative to 'no' ...

- I have no possibility of buying a big house

I agree, "possibility" is clearly defined here by the genitive phrase "of buying a big house", hence "the possibility".

This sounds odd to me. I suggest: Buying a big house is not possible for me at this time.

That's not very idiomatic. Use this instead:
I can't afford (to buy) a big house.
