Possessive + appositive

What is that girl's name, the young girl on Stars In Your Eyes.

Do we accept this appositive, where the phrase is in apposition to 'girl's name'.

To me, it's wrong. The girl's name is not what follows in bold, which is the whole idea of an appositive; it restates.

It's certainly in use informally. Try it with an m-dash: What is that girl's name – the young girl on 'Stars in Your Eyes'?
