can someone tell me if it´s: we look after other people´s children; or we look after other peoples children.??

I think, to add to Mr. M's post, that it's confusing for those learning English that when we have possessives with word that change form in the plural, we dont' follow the s' rule that usually applies to plural possessives.

The boy's bicycle is singular and the boys' bicycles is plural... but the child's bicycle and the children's bicycles. Children, as the plural of child, takes the 's,
