I would like to know the difference between the following sentences:

1. Tonight I'm going out with my friend.

2. Tonight I'm going out with a friend of mine.

Which one is more correct than the other?

would like to know the difference between the following sentences:

Which one is more correct than the other? Both are fine, and no real difference is usually intended.

#2 implies that you have more than one friend.
