Possession

Hello,

I have a little problem with the 's or nothing.

With the sentences "cat furs", why this is not "cats' fur" or "cat's fur" because this is the fur of this cat, so there is a possession.

"Cat furs" looks like the sentence "blue furs" with cat an adjective.

Can I say also " the furs of the cats" ? Is it correct

Thank you for the help.
