Position of while

Is this sentence correct?

While she didn't know, I will be in danger.

Or should I use "if" instead of "while"? I would like to indicate that the situation refers to a continuous period of time.

The tenses don't match, and the intended meaning is not very clear. Do you mean that you will be in danger as long as she doesn't know, but you will no longer be in danger if/when she finds out? If so, you could perhaps say "As long as she doesn't know, I will be in danger".

  • Because of the other meaning of "while" as an adversative conjunction, "as long as" is clearer here I feel, if this is the meaning that you want.
