Position of anyway

Hi, I have a question.

:What does he know about this anyway?

:What's your name anyway?

(In these clause I use anyway for changing the subject.)

Are they natural being there?

The first seems more natural to my ear than the second, but both are acceptable in casual conversation. I don't hear these as changing the subject. anyway usually occurs at the beginning when used for that purpose.

Other than changing the subject, what does anyway mean here? Sometimes anyway sounds rather meaningless to me. Thanks.
