position of adverb in passive voice sentence

Hi

Can someone please tell me where an adverb belongs in a passive voice sentence?

e.g. which one is correct?

a) The matrix method is applied recursively to the problem.

b) The matrix method is recursively applied to the problem.

Adverbs have a certain flexibility, and both of your sentences sound OK to me. I would think that it varies according to the nature of the adverb. He was chosen late vs He was late chosen -- only the first is OK They were arrested violently vs they were violently arrested .

Hey, I would like to ask a question on adverbs in a passive voice sentence...

Her bag was mistakenly taken by James

OR...

Her bag was taken by James by mistake

I have a similar doubt.

There was this statement on my exam:

I Speak english very well....

so the passive voice would be:

English's spoken very well by me

or is it

English's spoken by me very well

Im having doubts about the adverb position...

"English's spoken by me very well" is a bit odd and it does not seems natural!
