"portfolio-type"

A final exam of one of my classes is a journal entry. The description of the final exam has this: "This final exam is intended as a portfolio-type assignment."

So what does it mean? What is my professor looking to see? Thank you.

Sorry, I didn't realize that matter. It's an education course. We are to reflect on our learning in this course. I'm just not sure what a "portfolio-type" journal/essay would look like. What's portfolio? Thanks.
