pop

Pop in a CD and relax!

What is the meaning of pop here? I do not believe it is making a sharp, short bursting sound which is used in "pop the trunk" and "pop the balloon"

Thanks!

"pop in" - insert, very casual.

It's pop in, not just pop. There's a difference.

pop in is like put in, but gives the idea of how completely effortless and quick the action is.
