polution

High levels of polution may cause some people to have heart attacks [and/or] strokes.

Which is better? Any difference?

Thanks.

I'd use "or" here; "and" could imply that they might suffer both (together). "Or" restricts it to 'either'. PS.

"Or" restricts it to 'either'.

PS. I'm sure it was just a typo, but 'Polution' needs a second l, i.e. 'Pollution'

Thanks, yizhivika. I was debating whether the word needed one or two ls. Thanks.
