Poll: When is Next Friday?

0Today is tuesday the 27th. If I say "see you next friday", will I see you friday the 30th, or friday the 6th? (I will reply to further explain)0-

0 I ask this question because I have been having a little debate with my brother. He supposes that next friday will be on the 6th while I suppose it's on the 30th. 02br 02br 00My logic is that because the meaning of next is "on the first occasion to come" according to the Dictionary.

0This can confuse native English speakers. My family has had misunderstandings because one person thought "next Friday" was a week earlier than someone else thought it was! If I need to schedule something, I like to give the date for clarification. (Friday, April 6th, for instance)02br
