Hi John

You are right about 'pole vault'. But the term "poll vault" does exist. Did you check the embedded google link? Please check it if you haven't. Thank you.

Hi Jackson

The embedded link you provided is to a Google search result page whose first entry is dedicated to a Warner Bros./American Broadcasting Company television show entitled "The Poll Vault". This title is a play on words and has no intrinsic meaning. The play on words refers to not only election polls, but also to many different polls conducted worldwide during the preceding week.

It was a little jab criticizing my definition of "poll vault" - while a sperm bank is an actual physical place, a poll vault is very unlikely to be; I guess I was insufficiently clear at first.

Oh My, No, CS - it wasn't a jab at all!

That's why I put the smiley face.

It was a joke! I'm sorry if you feel offended - I thought it would make you laugh. My apologies.

@Jackson - the bolding of the line must have been some sort of technical problem. I did not write the line in bold.

Cheers,

John
