Politically correct

If someone deliberately utters falsehoods in order to gratify the sanctimonious majority, he is said to be being politically correct. This is a very mild term of opprobrium. Isn't there something more denunciatory that is not profane or obscene?

Mister MicawberHe's a sycophant?
By an odd coincidence, I decided a month ago to retire this word from my active vocabulary, because, etymologically, it is uncouth or obcene. It means fig-displayer, which is roughly equal to finger-thrower.
