Politeness

Hi,
I emailed someone a question two weeks ago, and only today she has written back to ask me if I still need the information.
How do I reply very politely that - it's ok and I'm not angry, but I don't need the Info. anymore because my deadline has already passed.

Hi,
You should give the additional information why you don't need the answer anymore. It would help your letter become more politely.
Cheers

As a native speaker of English, isn't it too blunt? just want to verify before replying

What is blunt mentioned in your statement? A reply with the sentences Clive recommended and some additional reasons is absolutely appropriate and polite.

Degree of politeness is a complex topic. Much depends on your relationship with this person, and on what and how he/she wrote to you.
