I am a non-native English speaker and based on my corespondence with a professor who previously encoureged me to apply to his university I want to send a polite reminder to him to review my application form. To be quit honest I do not want my email to sound neither impolite nor obsequious. However, I want it to be polite and at the same time concise but as I've never met the professor himself and the fact that I am applying out of states I am not familiar with general culture of being polite there. So I wrote two sample but I would be grateful if anyone can rewrite them in a better way or tell me which one is a better choice or give me any kind of sample or any piece of advice. sample 1 Dear Professor **** sample 2 Dear Professor **** sample 3 Dear professor ****' I am very excited to inform you that following our past correspondence I have applied to the *** and eagerly mentioned your name in my application form.I would be more than grateful if you could please let me know when I might hope to hear any response from university of *** regarding my application. Thank you very much for all your kind consideration and time. |
