Which word is correct or is there another word to use?

The point/goal/objective in soccer in to get the ball in the net in other words “score”.

Thank you

"goal" is an unfortunate choice (or seems like deliberate wordplay) since it is the term used in the game itself. "objective" is fine. The sentence is incorrectly punctuated.

  • This is one possibility: The objective in soccer is to get the ball in the net — in other words, to “score”.
  • You may also wish to specify that you mean the opposing team's net.
