Point of

As a twenty-first-century nation, we live very differently from historic tribal communities, so television may act for us as a point of focus and contact between groups of people who otherwise live unconnected lives

About 'a point of' above, does it modify both 'focus' and 'contact between'? Or does it modify 'focus' only?

Long time no see, Taka, as they say in good English! For me at least, it modifies both focus and contact. CB
