Poem

I quiver every time I scream but I make no sound.
I let my heart go running around.

Hoping it would find true love,
But all it found was a flower bud.

My heart thought it was ready to bloom,
But before it could, it got popped like a balloon.

Now I lay here, thinking my past choices,
Was it worth all the roses?

All the time, all the love, put into one person,
Now I lay with my eyes wide open.
