Plz help with these sentences

I ran across theses sentences but i still dont fully understand whether they are written in grammatical standards. Plz help me. I am dying to know.Plz check the wrong ones for me. Thanks a lot.

2) In sentence 2, is it possible for me to use " with the hope to gain " ? I wouldn't say it's wrong, but the other way is much more commonly said.
3) Is there any problem with " to purchase " in sentence 3? No. But a more common phrase would be ' . . what the company paid for them'.
4) Can i use " Intimacy, love, and marriage are three different, if interrelated, subjects "
