Plural/singular

I'm writing a list:
GPs have a responsibility to: - identify injuries that are non-accidental - make referrals to social services- etc.
Is it better to change 'responsibility' into it's plural form and write: GPs have the following responsibilities:
Or is either way fine?

The original is OK (or would be if it was laid out properly). "GPs have the following responsibilities:" doesn't work with the list items as you have written them. You would have to adjust the list items, but I see no reason for doing this since there is no problem with the original.
