Plurals

If we form the plurals of words as words and letters/numbers as letters/numbers, can single markers be used around the word itself followed by an 's'? Refer to examples below. Do they all look feasible/correct?

'as's, 'was's, 'his's, 'is's, 'maybe's,
'how-to's, 'I love you's, 'thank-you's, 'to-do's, 'not-to-do's, 'whereas's, 'I do's, 'seven's, 'eight's, 'A's, 'B's, 'm's, '3's, '4's

I think all examples could pass muster in lieu of italicizing them, which I prefer not to do.

Do you agree with the punctuation in every example above—yes or no?

Thank you for your valuable time.
