Plurals

Can I pluralize the following with single markers on each side of the phrase, word and letter? I believe this was used in BREnglish. Are they o.k.?It seems like a very clear way to do this vs other methods. All I want to know is if the examples below are acceptable?

'I love you's / a list of 'to do's / 'maybe's / 'as's / 'thank-you's / 'whereas's / 'how-to's / 'a's / 'X's

Top answer

k.? That's the way I would do if if I had to (and I sometimes have to).
