Plural Usage

If "e-mail" is plural for "e-mail", why do I see so many people use the word, "e-mails"??? Perhaps they are too lazy to say "e-mail messages"...?

Laziness is a bad habit. It is endemic. So many posters here do not bother to use the 'Shift key" because it is a tiny bit of extra work.

Do you also think people people are lazy if they say e-mail instead of electronic mail?
