Plural/ singular form

Hello,

is it correct to use a noun in singular form "dream" if I use a pronoun in plural "they" in the same sentence?

"Are they a woman's or a man's dream?"

Thank you

The pronoun in your sentence refers to "dream". The phrase "a woman's or a man's" is functioning like an adjective modifying the noun "dream".
Try replacing that phrase with a simpler adjective

a) Is it a beautiful dream?
b) Are they beautiful dreams?

Now you can put your phrase "a woman's or a man's" back in

a1) Is it a woman's or a man's dream?
b1) Are they

no problem
I often start a post, and by the time I finish someone else answers first. But I still keep my post unless my answer is virtually the same as the earlier one.
