Use what makes common sense (e.g., everyone knows that people have only one head apiece). Otherwise, it is more natural to use singular with singular (I have a head) and plural with plural (We all have heads).

1.their heads
2. Everybody's head
(formal) or everybody's heads (informal)
3. All the male students' heads

What about this:
there are seven persons each having 5 coins (4 silvers and one gold). So in total there are 7 gold coins and 28 silver coins.
one of their coin is gold
or
one of their coins is gold
or
one of their coins are gold?
