Plural problem

In the sentence 'When: Wednesday, July 7th and 14th' is Wednesday supposed to have an apostrophy s after it or not?

Top answer

no it shouldn't have. it should be: When: Wednesday, July 7th and 14th falls on a Wednesday. apostrophe s ('s) is used for contracting words, such as: it is ---> it's that is----> that's what is----> what's and so on....

Hello, Guest.

Even if you had to use the plural form of "Wednesday" you wouldn't add an apostrophe between "Wednesday" and the "s".
It would be "Wednesdays", not "Wednesday's". The mark for the plural, in this case "s", becomes part of the word.
