Plural possessive nouns: one of my friends' birthday(s)?
Hi,
Which of the following is correct?
Today is one of my friends' birthday (today is the birthday of one of my friends). Today is one of my friends' birthdays (of my friends' birthdays, today is one).
Should 'one of my friends'' be treated as a unit or 'one of my friends' birthdays'?
Many thanks in advance.
