Plural or singular

The class .... able to agree the teacher

A) weren't

B) were

C) wasn't

D) has been

I chosed weren't as there are students agree or disagree as They are individuals other people told me that the class is a unit or group of people not individuals

So which one is correct ?

Both are 'relatively true correct', as Clive has already explained. It is a very poor test question.
