Plural or singular?

Hi, should this be "rehearsals" or "rehearsal"? I'm not sure. Although the miming did not take place in both - only in the orchestra. It was originally "prolonged periods of time", however, I realized that I was repeating myself.

After I finally overcame my insecurity, I began to fully participate in the wind band and orchestra – taking the time to practice the complicated parts of the music, and no longer miming for the majority of the rehearsal.
