Plural or not ? Help, thanks.

Dear ESL teachers,

Please help me to understand the following 2 grammar questions,

1) I'm currently on holiday ( or holidays) ? <-- this message is for my auto reply message, but I don't know whether I should use plural if I take more than one day.

2) Please note that the origional copy of all your contracts are ( not "is", right?) need to be submitted to me by the end of this Friday.

I would suggest these:

1) I'm currently on vacation. (= I'm currently on holiday.)

2) Please note that the original copy of all your each new contract are ( not "is", right?) needs to be submitted to me by 5 p.m. this Friday.

I am on vacation = AmE usage

I am on holidays = BRE usage Plural makes more sense if it's an extended time off from work.

If it's single, it'd mean one day.

Department stores are operating on holiday schedules during Christmas time.

Not always, Goodman.
